Human Resources Generalist
POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Generalist will be the 1st point of contact and liaison between employees and management. Involved in all aspects of the employee life cycle from sourcing to exit. A professional to carry out a variety of HR functions while developing positive and strategic relationships at all levels of the organization. Uses discretion, judgment, accuracy and knowledge of the organization to coordinate and facilitate day-to-day functions as well as Plant related projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Recruitment: Oversee Hourly recruiting aspects including request tracking, job postings, candidate screening-interviewing, job descriptions, offering, and initial orientation and on-going training requirements. Engage Supervisors for Job Description updates. Attending all staff-related meetings to ensure timely recruitment support and communication. Primary contact for New Hires for continued resource questions and benefit enrollment.
Training: Oversee initial onboarding new hire orientation and probationary training documents. Support Managers with succession and cross functional initiatives for existing staff. Create and record as needed trainings to improve our employees knowledge of systems and procedures. Revise and issue Work Instructions and presentations as needed. Support and implement productivity and safety focused trainings to support Executive strategic goals.
Administrative: Manage office supply ordering, Clock & Access cards, Morale initiatives, Employment verifications, Temporary Invoices, Unemployment Claims/Hearings, Swag ordering, Vending services, Company directory updates, Issuing and tracking of Hourly performance review, Attendance warnings, Discipline warnings and investigations, Referral incentives, T-Shirt or Gift tracking, reporting and analysis as requested, Educating, and enforcing company policies. Mail distribution, Communication updates through TV & Engage. Maintain records are filed correctly and kept confidential.
Payroll: Maintain FMLA & LOA tracking, Hourly incentive data, Title/Dept./Change forms, Record Hiring and Terms in HRIS system. Reporting and analysis for Back up for processing completely as needed in place of Manager absence.
Benefits: Distribute NH and OE forms and communications for Benefit offerings. Support employees with enrollment questions. Process enrollments through carrier sites and Payroll system. Manage COBRA eligibility for termed employees. Serve as backup for monthly billing and IPO related reporting.
Safety: Manage, communicate, and comply with BWC & OSHA for reports of injury, responses, employee & Manager assistance related. Maintain worker’s compensation files and claims, follow up with employees, doctor’s office, and third party worker’s compensation groups while ensuring compliance with Worker’s Compensation guidelines. Development of safety programs as necessary.
Support – Complete additional task as assigned.

- Ability to travel locally up to 20%
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- 2+ years working experience in Human Resources position
- Preferably: experience focused on Recruiting, Training, and Safety
- Manufacturing and Warehouse working experience/exposure is a plus; specifically Automotive Industry
- SHRM-CP or HRCI Certification is a plus
- Bilingual in Mandarin is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS
- Must be able to physically navigate through out the organizations facility
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Able/Willingness; to operate machinery and utilize rolling stair carts as needed, (limited)
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds at a time
